Congratulations to your new family member!
Getting a new kitten is a really exciting time for your whole family. There is a lot to do. Do not overcharge yourself. We are here to help you
how trivial you may think your request is.
Here are a few things you need to keep in mind.
KITTEN VACCINATIONS
Why?
Vaccinations prevent infectious diseases. In kittens we vaccinate against Cat Flu, Cat Enteritis and Feline Leukemia.
When?
1st vaccination from 9 weeks
2nd vaccination from 12 weeks
Annual booster every year thereafter
MICROCHIP
Why?
1 out of 3 pets is lost. Without a pass, 90% will not return home.
A collar or ID tag may be lost or dropped, but a microchip will never fall out. Do not lose your best friend!
When?
I get a kitten: Kittens can be microchipped from the age of five weeks.
I get an adult cat (not a kitten): Bring your cat to the vet to get scanned. The vet can tell if your cat has a chip and arrange the registration if needed
worming
Why?
Worm eggs (not worms themselves) are contagious to humans and other animals.
Worm eggs are tiny and can not be seen without a microscope. Just because you can not see worms in your cat does not mean they are not there.
When?
Up to 4 months every 2 weeks
4-6 months, every month
Over 6 months, every 3 months
FLEA, MITE & TICK TREATMENT
Why?
Because external parasites can extremely irritate your cat and cause serious skin diseases such as anemia, allergic dermatitis, Lyme disease and tapeworms. They can also be transmitted to humans.
When?
Every month for life
neutering
Why?
Castration can help your cat live a longer and healthier life. Castration reduces overpopulation, area marking, roaming, aggression,
certain cancers and diseases.
When?
Male and female cats can be castrated from the age of 4 months. These are just guidelines. It is best to contact our team to discuss the ideal time
neutralize your pet
PET HEALTH PLAN
Why?
To distribute the costs of veterinary care over a period of 12 months and never pay for your cat's vaccinations or veterinary visits.
When?
Once you've found your new friend or if you want to sign up for your existing cat.
DIET
We only sell food that we can call high-quality and budget-conscious. Please ask our veterinarians and nurses for advice when choosing your cat's diet.
